ER-ONE DYNAMIC POSITION SYSTEM

The ER-ONE Dynamic Position System enables easy calibration between the robot and markers in the environment. This allows for flexible use, where robots and machines can be moved around and in less than a second calibrate to a new situation. With the system you can have millimeter accuracy and avoid mechanical fixtures and tedious manual calibration. The functionality is integrated into the UR user interface making it easy and intuitive to use.

FEATURES
• The camera can be freely mounted on the tool.
• Inexpensive markers for precise calibration.
• Options of different marker sizes and integrated ID’s for verification.
• Separate vision control box for fast image processing.
• Full 3D calibration in both position and orientation.
• Typical accuracy of 0.5mm perpendicular to viewing direction, 1mm in viewing direction.
• Options of having markers with integrated ID.
• 2MP camera with high dynamic range (HDR) for precise detection of markers and robustness to changes in illumination.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
During programming of a task, the system detects the position and orientation of the robot relative to a marker. This reference is stored and when running the program, the marker is detected and targets associated to the reference is updated, through a Feature in the UR interface.
Once the system is installed on the robot, all the programmer needs is to put a marker on the machine/workpiece, insert the URCap in the program flow, select the Feature and marker type and press Calibrate. When running the program, the feature is then automatically updated and all motions using the feature will be relative to the marker.
